Graham to Testify at House Ways & Means Oversight Subcommittee January 24

NCPA Senior Fellow John R. Graham has been invited to testify in person to the U.S. House of Representatives Ways & Means Oversight Subcommittee on January 24 at 2 p.m. The topic is Obamacare’s individual mandate to buy health insurance, which Graham concludes is a burden without benefit.

    Only people with employer-based health insurance should testify because we don’t want anybody knowing anything, as usual.

    The use of the IRS for the mandate and its inexcusable affirmation as ‘not a tax’ is due for its premature 7 year termination.

      A tax based on the lie that people are “simply being compelled to pay their fair share.” If that were truly the case there would be no need for the mandate or any other incentive.

      Forced behavior should be a last resort, not the first.
