By Owning Up to Mistakes, Hospitals Reduce Malpractice Costs

Since 2006, the University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago has had a policy of fully disclosing medical errors, apologizing when they occur, and swiftly offering a financial settlement….. the number of lawsuits against the center is down 40% compared to the period between 1999 and 2004, even though the number of procedures increased 23%.

    I believe there are other institutions that have had the same experience.

    I suppose that is ok. But it is no substitute for the NCPA’s radical ideas on malpractice reform.

    It’s probably a good thing to do. But it does not solve the overall problem of tort liability.

    Hand washing. . wool, silk, tocton or linen can be hand washed if you know how… . Hand washing often releases dye into the rinse water which robs the vibrancy of the colors of your garment. . Just follow the directions on the packaging. ..
