The logical conclusion is that Democrats think Americans are too dumb to understand what’s good for us, so they are going to bypass the filibuster and other regular procedures to get this health bill passed.
At this rate, we won’t even need elections anymore, because Democrats will think we’re too dumb to pick our own Representatives.
Something as substantial as a $1 trillion to $2.3 trillion (per decade) health care entitlement should not be passed on a simple 51-vote majority. If there is not a consensus sufficient to gain support from 60 Senators, then the majority needs to slow down and seek a more moderate approach.
