  1. Timmy says:

“24 million Americans will qualify for an exemption from the ObamaCare mandate.”

Doesn’t this undermine the whole premise behind the law of making sure everybody is insured?

  2. Sounders says:

“Could insect-sized drones be used to assassinate people?”

If so, I am not sure how well this will end up for society. Too many dangers regarding freedom and privacy.

    • JD says:

Right, this would just make it that much easier and that much harder to trace.

      • Sounders says:

Right. I understand the argument for it making us safer to some degree, but at the same time it makes it so easy for an individual to lose privacy.

  3. Dewaine says:

“Wow: those left out of Medicaid expansion won’t have to buy insurance.”

Link isn’t working, so I don’t know the specifics, but it sounds like the Supreme Court decision to make expansion optional rocked the foundation of this house of cards.

  4. Dewaine says:

“24 million Americans will qualify for an exemption from the ObamaCare mandate.”

Probably not the young and healthy, right? The ones that have to participate or the system falls apart?

  5. Studebaker says:

24 million Americans will qualify for an exemption from the ObamaCare mandate.

What a deal! No mandate to buy coverage but guaranteed to access to subsidized health coverage in case you get sick or pregnant.

  6. Bubba says:

Should Medicare pay seniors to stay healthy?

This is stupid! If the threat of dying prematurely isn’t enough to entice seniors to lead healthy lifestyles, offering seniors with unhealthy lifestyles a few extra bucks surely isn’t going to work either.

I’ve got an idea… How about charging unhealthy seniors more? That way, even if it doesn’t induce any of them to change, you are recouping some of their extra costs. Also, those Death Panels are starting to increasingly sound like a good idea.

  7. Frugal Nurse says:

I’m guessing I’ll be exempt, although that’s not a reason to celebrate. My husband and I buy an individual plan, are both over 50, and won’t qualify for a subsidy. What are the chances our premiums will be less than 8% of our income?
