I think Jesus would not associate with people who bite off other people’s fingers.
I think Jesus would vote to have most of these guys removed from office — sort of like chasing the money changers out of the temple.

Ed Schultz’s claim to read the mind of Jesus is the oldest trick in the book: “God has spoken to me; and he has told me what you have to do!”
Not that I’m a biblical expert, but didn’t Jesus say that we must “render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s, and render unto God that which is God’s”? It sounds to me like he did not confuse the government, i.e. Caesar, with a moral obligation to take care of our ill neighbor.
