  1. Larry C. says:

Very interesting result on the walk-in clinics. And remember, the only reason they exist at all is because an entrepreneur saw an opportunity to provide a new type of service to cash paying patients.

  2. Devon Herrick says:

When MinuteClinic wanted to establish nearly a dozen walk-in clinics in the Boston area, public health officials fought against it. It would seem that in a city where the wait to see a primary care physician is skyrocketing, public health advocates do not believe retail clinics are a good substitute for a “medical home.”

  3. Ken says:

How does the Florida pharmacy get away with it? I thought reimportation was illegal.

  4. Joe S. says:

The RAND study is very important. Remember, this product devloped outside the third party payment system in a relatively free market. RAND is saying they not only lower the cost of care, they also improve the quality.

Now, if the Obama Administration had any sense, they would be paying very close attention to this — exploring ways to encourage more of same.

But here’s betting they are not paying attention at all.

Hi, nothing is going to stop the looneys in the White House, they have a socialist agenda, just look at all 32 czars. What is this, Russia, with all the czars and no one to answer to? My country is no longer the USA as we have known it, since the radicals have taken over. We have no say in the matter, even our conservatives have turned against us, but wait till the next election in 2010. They have awakened a sleeping senior giant, they will be gone — we are pissed. If Obama Care is so good let’s try it on the clowns in Washington and see how it works for two years and go from there……A mad senior who wishes he had the health care like those in Washington who work for us. Oh, I forgot, they in Washington don’t care for us and do what’s good for them and not for the people and our country who pays them. God Bless Us.
