I especially liked the article about Stanford experimenting with a drive-through ER. Maybe the next big thing in retail clinics will be the drive through window. Or maybe clinics will operate more like a Sonic Drive-In, where the carhop (i.e. nurse practitioner) skates to your car.

Has anybody thought about house call ERs?
Looks like there are about 28,000 new cases of oral cancer annually versus 13,000 for cervical(2003 and 2002 estimates):

If half of the former are HPV-caused, then the number of HPV-related cancers are similar. This seems to suggest making the vaccine available to boys, while doubling the expected benefit/cost for girls. But it looks like boys may be getting the vaccine soon anyway:
