  1. Peterson says:

“Individual insurance premiums are about to go up by one-third.”

-Surprise, Surprise! Obamacare really messed up a lot of aspect of Healthcare!

  2. Stone says:

ACA health insurance application asks about voter registration.

“While the health care law requires that government agencies collect vast information about Americans’ personal lives, it does not give your department an interest in whether individual Americans choose to vote.”

Why do they need to know anything about American’s personal lives? Is this a health care-related approach? How exactly would this be helpful to them?

  3. Lucy Helsh says:

What do they think ObamaCare does?

Seniors are one of the age groups losing the most with the implementation of the ACA. Haven’t they sacrificed enough? This law is targeting the elderly in all kinds of wrong ways.

  4. Patel says:

@ The ACA asking for voter registration

I don’t see a problem with this. Surely, when you are accessing government services, I think it is fair to say that they should be asking you about your duty as a citizen.

  5. Stone says:

    @Patel,

So you don’t think there’s anything wrong with them going through your most personal records either? Exactly, how is this relevant to them? I’m interested to know your opinion.

  6. Francis G. says:

In its first three years, President Obama’s healthcare law has imposed more than $30 billion in costs and 111 million hours of paperwork burdens.

Sounds like a lot of hours and too many dollar signs invested in this reform, for the little (if any) positive outcome we’ve seen from it. In my opinion, the risks/negative results far outweigh the benefits ObamaCare has brought into our health care system since implemented. Can anyone disagree?

  7. Patel says:

@ Obamacare costing so much hours

111 million hours, oh my god. Can you imagine what else can be done if that time was spent in building more businesses.

  8. Bernard Wolsh says:

Individual insurance premiums are about to go up by one-third.

There is no win here. The ACA is leaving seniors with no health care coverage whatsoever, and making it harder for them to even be able to reach out to a physician if they need to (this is awful, considering the older generations are usually the ones who should easy access to care). Now the ACA is also raising costs for the newly insured. Who’s benefiting from any of this? The government? Anyone?

  9. Mary Ann says:

What do they think ObamaCare does?

Long story short. It does absolutely NOTHING good.

  10. Jonathan Cass says:

ACA health insurance application asks about voter registration.

What don’t they ask in that application? It makes sense for them to want to know certain aspects of one’s role in society. However, I find it very disturbing that they are basically expecting us to disclose information from all aspects of our lives, even those that don’t matter to them in the least bit.

  11. Studebaker says:

Individual insurance premiums are about to go up by one-third.

This made the news today and people act like this is the first time they’ve heard this! Economists could have informed Congress his would happen before the legislation was signed into law.

  12. Jordan says:

Cass: Because they are only allowed to collect information that is specifically legislated.

  13. Harley says:

The article even mentions that like doing your taxes, firms such as AARP (who subsequently represent a large voting block) will probably actually be ‘assisting’ people in filling them out.

    It’s essentially federally sourcing acorn.
