i wonder what kind of briefing they were given about the details of the bill, and whether anyone is going to be surprised by what they actually voted for

    Is vegetarianism bad for you?

I believe it’s entirely possible to be a healthy vegetarian. However, I think humans need to supplement their diet with protein from meat or at the very least protein from dairy products.

Amino acids are found in meat and are the building blocks of muscle. You cannot survive on carbohydrates alone.

“Senators got 154-page ‘fiscal cliff’ bill 3 minutes before voting on it.”

This comes as zero surprise. The GOVT procrstinates worse than college students. It’s amazing that the US is not in a worse financial state than it currently is.

  5. August says:

The vote on the fiscal cliff was not on its merits; it was a compromise between the two parties.

The fact that parties control the process so completely is part of the reason for the deadlock.
