As a health care worker in a hospital, this is indeed a headline I wish I hadn’t seen.
This probably correlates to some of the hand washing issues that some hospitals have. Many hospitals implement hand washing measures of 90% or higher. However, while when dealing with sick patients, it should be a no brainer that hand washing should be at 100%, for the safety of both patients and workers.

This is ridiculous how much more paperwork has gone up in the past year for physicians. ObamaCare is going about it the wrong way to improving care for patients. Less paperwork and more time with patients will improve care.
I started in this business in 2000. Back then, the doctors were complaining about government and insurance bureaucracy that was taking away from patient care. I cannot imagine what it must be liek to work in a doctors’ office these days.

Awhile back there were various estimates that nearly one-in-five had not paid their premiums. AS the deadline approached, that figure fell to 15%. But the question remains: how many people continue paying premiums? An enrollee cannot be kicked off for non-payment for 90 days. As money gets tight, there is little to prevent someone from stopping paying premiums. I truly believe nobody actually knows how many people have coverage.

Considering that it has just crossed the 90 day threshold from the end of enrollment in March, I wonder if the numbers will come out that support a significant number of individuals being kicked off their plans.
Good point Devon. I agree that HHS may not have an accurate number, or may simply want to keep it as quiet as possible. We also know that many more people are receiving subsidies that should not be eligible, but, again, its not in the administration’s best interest to expose such problems with compliance with the law.

What is that saying? Those who ignore the past are doomed to repeat it. I think it is safe to say we can expect them to fumble this as well.
58 percent more time spent on paperwork in just one year? That is a stunning reality, and it highlights the bureaucratic nightmare that is ObamaCare.
So much wasted time will lead to fewer doctors actually participating in the exchanges, and thus more healthcare rationing in the long run.
HHS is now in charge of handling the situation/crisis with the kids who are here illegally. What a scary thought. They will probably come up with a multiyear plan that will have a horrible rollout, noncompliance issues galore, and misrepresent failure as success…as usual.
