If it is a cultural trip, not a political one, why are the American taxpayers paying for this trip? A trip of this magnitude cannot be only intended for cultural reasons. There are many other useful things that can be done with that money. It is outrageous that the first lady has a vacation with all expenses included paid by the American people. Where is the equality you talk about Mr. Obama?
Nonsense, there are obviously political reasons behind the trip. Do you think that the cultural trip to China was a coincidence? After the sanctions imposed on Russia last week, the US needs China to support them. Without it the sanctions will not affect Putin’s allies. This trip was fully political, but was disguised for different purposes.
So in 2016, 6 million people will pay over $1000 dollars in fines due to ObamaCare. What happened to the affordable part of the affordable care act. Biggest blunder of the 21st century
It sounds like the self-insurance alternative is a great option to “evade” the Obamacare penalties. But, I don’t think that alternative works because it wouldn’t provide the financial security those other types of insurance offer the policy holders.
Media is a complicated thing. People receive their information from individuals that don’t fully understand the law and that are following specific interests. As the report claim, liberal media just went out to criticize, ridicule and refute Drudge’s claims, without bothering in checking their information first. This is the same thing that happens when they are reporting any other type of news.
If only 50 percent of the research papers are read by someone different than the author it means that there is a surplus of research or that the research itself have decrease its quality. This is a wakeup call for researchers and those looking for a career in research.
If I didn’t cite sources in college, I would fail the assignment, it is curious to learn that some papers are actually published without being properly cited.
Assuming the paper citation comment is true, and how would one know about ever citations given that a lot of citations could occur outside of the peer reviewed literature and therefore would not be centrally registered, this is perhaps an example of Silverberg’s Law: 90 percent of everything is junk.
Problem is that you often can’t tell which is which in advance. And the fact that they aren’t being cited doesn’t necessarily mean that they aren’t being read.
50% of papers are never read by anyone other than their authors, referees and journal editors.
Maybe it would be more accurate to say that more than half of academic papers are not worth reading; and nine-in-ten contain no information worth citing.

“Michelle Obama and three of her family members are staying in a $8,350-per-night Beijing presidential suite.”
Is that not a bit extravagant? Especially if taxpayers get to foot the bill.
Extravagant? That is a monthly ObamaCare premium payment.
Where’s the equality?
“Flat lie, no fee for previous year,” adding, “Scary how much influence he once had.”
Talk about an over-reaction from liberal media. Maybe they should know when a small business owner pays taxes before lashing out.
“Now, the cheapest plan available on the federal exchange is $173 per month.”
Insane. How can they expect to spur economic growth if no one has any extra money to spend. Its all getting taken through taxes and now premiums.
“It is a sobering fact that some 90% of papers that have been published in academic journals are never cited.”
Does that mean that only 10% of published papers have any relevance?

Both sides of the media tend to jump the gun to criticize their counterparts first, then get facts later.
