  1. Bob Hertz says:

Harry Reid and the other ACA loyalists are indeed stretching the truth a long way.

Not a big deal, but the almost $3.5 million of the Obama vacation cost was in the imputed charges for Air Force One. By Pentagon account, it “costs” $3.2 million to fly the big bird to Hawaii. I suspect that Air Force One is in the budget already, and that this was not a cash expenditure at all.

Any time there is a temporary White House somewhere outside DC, there are imputed costs. Just as true with Nixon.

  2. Lucas says:

“The White House has scheduled an East Room event on Tuesday in which the president will appear with people who lost that insurance.”

    Welcome to the hot seat

  3. Andrew says:

I am not sure which is more alarming, Reid’s overestimated number of the newly insured due to Obamacare, or his inability to perform simple addition.

  4. perry says:

“Harry Reid gets two Pinocchios for claiming that 9 million people are newly insured because of ObamaCare.”

I just read this quote in Gore Vidal’s book on Lincoln:
“They lie and then they re-lie. If nothing else, at least they are re-lie-able.” (Lincoln was discussing
the press, but the same could be said of politicians.)

  5. Matthew says:

Good luck explaining a $4 million dollar vacation in Hawaii and your effective tax rate while you tackle the issue of income inequality Mr. President.

  6. JFA says:

Please tell me you complained about the vacations George Bush took while he was president, otherwise this is just sad.
