“Officials worried, though, that delving into details such as the small number of people who might lose insurance could be confusing and would clutter the president’s message.”
…Well they were definitely right about one thing – telling the truth would certainly have cluttered his message.
“Obama’s pledge (if you like your insurance plan, you can keep your plan) was not a slip of the tongue: aides debated it while it was being said.”
The only people that bought that were the suckers.
Unfortunately that is a lot of people.
“Zeke Emanuel: The individual market is going away.”
Again, who didn’t see this coming?
Democrats, for one.
“Expect more of this: Virginia Democrat calls for forcing doctors to accept Medicare and Medicaid patients.”
Yep, they always think that force will make it work. smh.
I guess they’ll start forcing people to become doctors too, since this will only disincentivize joining the profession.
They’ll recruit all those folks that have been staying at Holiday Inn Express.
Really though, a lot of docs are fed up now, just wait if they try something like this.
“Obama’s pledge (if you like your insurance plan, you can keep your plan) was not a slip of the tongue: aides debated it while it was being said.”
So, in other words, it was a lie of omission.
What was being omitted?
That he wasn’t actually sure he was going to allow that.
Oh, I see. He omitted the, “But I might change my mind” part.
“Zeke Emanuel: The individual market is going away.”
To be fair, he is quoted as saying “THAT” individual market, which is different than saying “the” individual market.
A minor but important difference.
“Expect more of this: Virginia Democrat calls for forcing doctors to accept Medicare and Medicaid patients.”
Freedom in your own job? Not in Obama’s country.
Not just Obama, but pretty much all these politicians.
