    Old age is definitely a reasonable listing for cause of death. But, if you think about it, isn’t most death age-related? Unless it’s an accident or suicide, you rarely see children die of cancer or heart disease. (I suppose with obesity and such, you’ll see more of this, but in general, kids are really healthy… so that means that all of the adult diseases are caused by age, in concert with other factors.)

    Old age should be like “none of the above” or “other”. It’s the fall back when you have no other answer.

    I’m not surprised exercise is good for children’s brains – or anyone else’s brain for that matter.

    I don’t know why old age could not be identified as the cause of death unless carefully identifying the actual cause of death has some value to researchers.
