Why doesn’t the application process just say if you have other income besides wages, you probably won’t qualify for a subsidy.

Agreed, Obama is trying to re-invent the wheel. Instead of wasting all of these tax dollars to help a handful of people, just inform people about HSAs

They get much more complicated than that. Some of the “EZ” forms are horrendous
